Don Jusko ( 1941 – 2016)

‘I came to Maui because it's one of the most beautiful and paintable locations on eartth", says acrylic artist Don Jusko. "I've been painting here for 27 years now. It has forests, mountains, rivers, old buildings and ocean scenes - everything one could ever want to Paint". Jusko points out an added bonus: "the weather is great."

Don was a treasure to Dan’s Green House and a big part of our family from 1974 before we first opened our doors in 1976. He painted elaborate murals on the inside of the barn (shop) and did all our price signage and painted beautiful signs and pictures of our birds and animals we had in house. The owners of Dan’s Green House, Dan and Naomi Malone, were very close to Don and considered him family (Ohana). They remained close to him for almost 40 years, until he passed in 2016. RIP Don, we love you.
